EASY-CARE Guide for UNIFORMS

ALL UNIFORMS ARE MACHINE WASHABLE That means you save time and money! As with other clothing, be sure to separate dark from light colors, then wash and dry according to the instructions on the label.

TREAT STAINS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE No matter what the stain, early treatment is essential. Here are some tips for the most common stains:

  • BALLPOINT INK: Soak with hair spray, rinse, hand-scrub with liquid detergent, then rinse well. Also, you can try rubbing alcohol or pre-wash spray.
  • CHOCOLATE: Soak in club soda or cool water with enzyme pre-soak, sponge with detergent, then launder in hot water.
  • FELT TIP INK: Rub with strong household wall and counter cleaner, rinse, repeat if needed, then launder.
  • GRASS: Soak in enzyme pre-soak, or you can try white vinegar, then wash in water as hot as possible.
  • PEANUT BUTTER: Saturate with mineral oil, blot, apply cleaning fluid, blot again, then rinse and launder.
  • TOMATO PRODUCTS: Sponge with cold water, rub with detergent; then launder in hot water with bleach, if possible.

OTHER HELPFUL HINTS Easy care features such as Wrinkle No More fabric and permanent pleats save time on ironing; especially if you remove items from the dryer while still warm and hang them immediately. They should only need a light touch up with the iron to look fresh and crisp as new. Always follow care instruction on garment label.

WHY UNIFORMS?

UNIFORMS MAKE PARENTS LIVES EASIER Uniforms end frustrating and time-wasting arguments over what to wear to school: The simplicity of uniforms also promotes organization and neatness.

UNIFORMS ARE COST EFFECTIVE Uniforms cost less, often much less; than other types of clothes. A student can be outfitted with French Toast Official School Wear for about $150 a year. This includes 10 to 12 items.

UNIFORMS OFFER SOLUTIONS TO THE EVER CHANGING SECULAR FASHIONS Rather than lower Heritage dress-code standards to meet the need of the secular world; we, have opted to choose uniforms that conform to our Christ-honoring beliefs.

MY CHILD HAS OUTGROWN THEIR UNIFORM, NOW WHAT?

CONSIDER DONATING YOUR CHILD'S OUTGROWN CLOTHES TO OUR "CLOTHES CLOSET" Heritage has used uniforms available to those families who need a little help staying in step with the dress code.*

*Please note: not all items will be available at all times in the Clothes Closet.  Items available on a first come first serve basis.

HOW DO I MEASURE MY CHILD FOR A UNIFORM?

HEIGHT: Measure your child without shoes, feet together and back to the wall. Place tape measure from the floor to top of head

CHEST: Place the tape measure under your child's arms and around the fullest part of his or her chest. Tape should be comfortably loose.

WAIST: Measure your child in his or her underwear. At their natural waistline, place one finger in between the tape and your child's body.

If your child falls somewhere in between the sizes available, it's best to move up a size.
